4. RG Eric Kush

Another player who warrants a bit of hesitation, but may remain a necessary evil for the Browns to re-up is starting right guard Eric Kush. After beating out the former 33rd overall pick Austin Corbett for the job, Kush has displayed both ups and downs along the Browns’ starting offensive line.

Overall, Kush has been a bit of a pleasant surprise for the Browns, especially at a position that warranted an immense amount of worry throughout the summer. To say that the Browns should re-sign Kush is not to say that they should not look to upgrade the position, however.

Throughout this summer in free agency and the draft, the Browns have a priority to upgrade the right guard spot that was left vacant with the trade of Kevin Zeitler to the New York Giants. However, the Browns should not enter next season without a dependable option to fall back onto, and Kush has been that option in Cleveland this year.

Kush is also a Dorsey discovered guy, which is why he was brought to Cleveland on a one year deal in the first place. Just as he did with Greg Robinson a year ago, Dorsey should give Kush a short term extension until they can otherwise find an upgrade to the position.
