What will the offensive game plan look like?

After struggling to find its identity during the first three games of the season, the Cleveland Browns offense got rolling against the Ravens. So much so, it had the looks of the offense that helped Freddie Kitchens earn the head coaching job.

The Browns were using plenty of misdirection, putting the Ravens defense out of position. They also relied on the ground game, which became the catalyst of the Browns offense, gaining 193 total rushing yards. The impact of the ground game helped open up the passing attack, which helped Mayfield look much more comfortable.

The 49ers have a much stiffer defense compared to the Baltimore Ravens, led by their defensive front. The 49ers have only played three games this season, but they have the third ranked defense in the NFL, allowing only 283.3 total yards. Even if the Browns take the same offensive approach, it still will not be easy moving the ball against the 49ers defense.

It should be almost guaranteed that the Browns are going to rely on Nick Chubb and the ground game. He will always be the focal point of the offensive game plan after he showed his game breaking ability.

But the question mainly lies with the passing offense and if Kitchens will continue his creativity. By utilizing play-action and using several creative concepts, Kitchens kept the Ravens guessing. After the performance against the Ravens, Kitchens should strive to get the ball out of Mayfield’s hands quickly while using creativity to keep the defense off-balance.
