Defense: D-

After a disappointing performance last week, the Browns wanted to get back to the basic and lock in defensively. It all sounded good… and then they played Russell Wilson. Wilson shredded the defense for 288 yards, three total touchdowns, and no interceptions. That was expected. Missing two starting cornerbacks against a potent passing offense doesn’t bode well for your defense.

However, the front seven were motivated to get the sour taste of 275 rushing yards allowed out of their mouth but allowed over 160 yards and two touchdowns. Seattle managed five yards per carry behind several missed tackles.

Play after play defenders were in the correct position to make a play and missed a tackle. I’m sure the defense is still pulling grass from their face masks after being stiff-armed to the ground on several plays.

Myles Garrett ended with two sacks to put himself in a tie for the league lead, but as far as bright spots, that is where it stops. Steve Wilks has his work cut out for him to finish off this season. The Browns know they can be better, but words are just that, they must put it together on the field of play.
