Round 4, Pick 110: K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State

There is no such thing as too many playmakers on the offensive side of the ball for Mayfield. Besides, Rashard Higgins is a free agent after this season, and with $30 million already invested between Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr., it seems unlikely that they can give $8-10 million more to Higgins.

One of the wide receivers flying in over the radar in the draft is Ohio State’s K.J. Hill, who returned to the Buckeyes this year to improve his draft stock. Hill bet on himself, and is winning to this point in his senior season in Columbus.

So far in this 2019 campaign for Hill, he has tallied 275 yards and four touchdowns on 27 catches for the scarlet and grey. Averaging a first down per reception, Hill has been a much-needed security blanket for Heisman candidate Justin Fields thus far.

With Higgins potentially on the way out of Cleveland (unless the Browns are willing to invest $40 million into one position), Mayfield will need a new favorite target who can serve as his security blanket. Hill can be that guy for the Browns, and with the investment of just a fourth-round pick, it will be well worth it for Dorsey and company.
