3 more players Cleveland Browns could trade away
By Randy Gurzi
3. David Njoku, TE
This one seems likely due to some rumors that popped up on Tuesday. Not long after Austin Corbett was sent to the Rams, Cleveland started being connected to Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins. Williams has been unhappy with the team and wants out — in fact, he has yet to report as he refuses to play for the Redskins again.

Cleveland has been considered a landing spot for quite some time and the smoke is really starting to get heavy around them. As for compensation for Williams, the Browns are reportedly ready to send not only a draft pick but potentially David Njoku as well.
Formerly a first-round pick out of Miami, Njoku has shown flashes as a pass-catcher for Cleveland catching 88 balls for 1,025 yards and eight touchdowns in his first two seasons. While that’s impressive, the 23-year old was challenged by John Dorsey this offseason to improve his blocking, which has been an issue for him since joining the team.
So far this season, he hasn’t been able to show his growth in this area. Njoku broke his wrist in their second game of the season after catching just four passes for 37 yards and a score.
With him gone, Ricky Seals-Jones has stepped up and provided a spark as a receiver at the position. His emergence makes Njoku’s departure even more likely, especially if it helps them land Trent Williams.
