Cleveland Browns: 4 offensive line targets not named Trent Williams
By Cory Kinnan
C/G Joe Looney, Dallas Cowboys
Throughout his time in the league since being drafted as a fourth round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Joe Looney has played right guard, left guard, and center for the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, and now Dallas Cowboys.
Over the past two seasons, Looney has filled in for superstars along the Cowboys’ offensive line as center Travis Frederick missed all of last season, and right guard Zack Martin has missed time this year. Given his versatility and how dependable he has been for the Cowboys, Looney could potentially cost as much as a third round pick to acquire.
Looney has been for the Cowboys what the Browns were expecting Austin Corbett to be for them; a player who can fill in wherever they need him to. Bad news for the Browns, they have three positions they need to plug holes at right now, making Looney desirable.
If the Browns are in win-now mode (SPOILERS: they are), then Looney is a seasoned, dependable veteran who can come in right away and start. At the age of 30, however, the Browns may be only to get one or two more seasons out of Looney if they were to make a deal for him.
