Sunday and Monday Night Football

Sunday night football features the Cowboys. Even though there is no geographical connection, the state of Ohio is the home to a large number of Cowboy fans (who knew?). The Patriots are a future opponent playing on Monday night. Both games will be interesting.

Sunday Night Football – Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) at Dallas Cowboys (3-3)

Welcome to the “Glad we didn’t draft him after all” Bowl. The Cowboys come into the game after suffering an embarrassing loss the week before. Will the real Cowboys please stand up? On the flip side, the Eagles come in having not played up to their potential. Browns fans have taken a lot of heat by Eagles fans for “giving” them Wentz in the draft. Wentz has yet to play a full season for the Eagles. Here is where Ohio Cowboys fans and Browns fans can find middle ground, the hope that Wentz fails. Browns can enjoy this game while laughing every time Wentz throws an inaccurate pass.

Monday Night Football – New England Patriots (6-0) at New York Jets (1-4)

Browns fans can take a few angles on this one. It could be the “Belichick was a Brown and we will root for him” Bowl. Or it could be the “All cheaters should lose” Bowl. Either way, this game will be anything but entertaining. The Patriots should roll over this team. It might be fun to watch Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams get his defense handed to him by the Patriots. This game is relatively useless from a scouting perspective because the Patriots morph to become whatever they need to be to beat the opponent at hand. But Belichick is a phenomenal coach, it is always fun to watch for that reason.
