4.  Myles Garrett will Sack Tom Brady Twice

It’s no secret that Myles Garrett has been a monster for the Browns this season. He has nine sacks and seven tackles for loss. He did come out before the season and say he wants to be defensive player of the year.

But to do that you must not only have the numbers you have to have a couple of performances that people remember. He already has one of those when he was completely unstoppable on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets.

This week he has another opportunity to do that against the greatest quarterback of all time but it will be far from easy. Brady hasn’t been sacked a lot throughout his career.

Two things have led to good protection for Brady who has only been sacked 10 times this year. He has an extremely quick release and he has one of the best offensive line coaches in the NFL in Dante Scarnecchia.

New England never spends money on offensive lineman (or any position for that matter) so they are constantly drafting new players and coaching them up. Scarnecchia always has those guys ready to go. They also run a lot of short pass patterns which gets the ball out of Brady’s hands fast.

So Garrett will have to hustle to get to him but he has to ability to beat blocks quickly and get in the backfield.

I will say it again, the only chance Cleveland has to win the game is to keep it low scoring and Garrett getting pressure is a big part of that. If he can get those two sacks and the Browns can find a way to win this game that would go a long way towards his chances for defensive player of the year.
