3. Cleveland will Hold New England Under 21 Points

This is something that I have mentioned several times already in this article because I think it is crucial if the Browns wants a chance to win.

I don’t see many ways that Cleveland can score more than 21 points on this Patriots defense, partly because they rotate so many players so they are never really tired.

I highlighted New England’s weak schedule before but they still have not allowed more than 14 points in a game through seven games which is very impressive.

So it will be up to Cleveland’s defense to keep them in this game. Stacking the box to stop the run will be there best chance because the Patriots receiving corps isn’t very good and former Brown Josh Gordon was place on injured reserve this week.

Julian Edelman and James White will play but they are the only real threats on the outside.  So if the Browns can limit Sony Michel and apply pressure to Tom Brady there shouldn’t be many other options.

This isn’t an extremely talented offense but they are great at scheming up plays to get their guys in positions to make plays.

The only quality defense New England has faced this season is the Buffalo Bills who held them to just 16 points. They lost the game but that was the best anyone has played against the Patriots all year.

The key will be Cleveland’s talented defensive line of Garrett, Larry Ogunjobi, Sheldon Richardson and Olivier Vernon to take on blockers so the linebackers can make plays in the running game. If the Browns can limit the Patriots offensively they will have a chance to win the game.
