Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold Predictions vs. Patriots
1. Freddie Kitchens Will get Schooled, But in a Good Way
This week head coach Freddie Kitchens will have a front row seat to a class in the art of coaching football . Bill Belichick is simply the greatest professional football coach to of all time.
The two coaches will match up in this way, Belichick is a defensive coach and Kitchens is an offensive coach but one of these coaches is a rookie and the other one has been around so long he coached Lawerence Taylor.
It really isn’t a fair match and although it won’t feel very good on Sunday, Kitchens should walk away from this game with more knowledge than he came in with.
He will also have to make in-game adjustments which he has not been very good at this season. If something is being taken away offensively then he needs to try something else because if Belichick wants to take your top wide receiver out of the game he will.
So this week he can’t feed Odell Beckham Jr. the ball just to satisfy his ego, if the Patriots are taking him away then they need to look to someone else.
If they are focused more on stopping Chubb in the running game then get the ball to your playmakers on the outside.
Even if he doesn’t find a way to counter what Belichick is doing and the Browns lose it will still be a good thing for Kitchens. First, he won’t face another defense this good all season.
Second, he will not face another coach this good probably until they play the Patriots again. So if he can raise his team’s ability against the Patriots he can do it against everyone else.
If Kitchens is smart he will watch the film of this game with a pen and pad so he can take notes from a legend.
