Tristan Wirfs, Iowa

Finally first on the list is the second Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs; while Andrew Thomas from Georgia may be the best overall tackle prospect in this class, the Browns would more than likely need to pick in the top five to get their hands on him. Wirfs, however, is the real deal as well, and is without a doubt a day one starter.

While Wirfs needs a bit of work on his run blocking ability, he is an elite pass blocker; sound like another tackle that played in Cleveland for a decade straight? He has seen action from the time he was a true freshman in 2017 and in every year since, starting the full season at right tackle for the Hawkeyes across from the previously mentioned Alaric Jackson.

Last year Wirfs was named to the All-Big 10 honorable mention team and looks well on his way to another All-conference nod. Wirfs is borderline in reach for the Browns, as he will likely be gone by the time the top-ten rounds out. Right now the Browns are projected as the eighth pick in the draft according to The Draft Network’s mock draft machine.

Wirfs is ideally the best-case scenario for the Browns, but it would still take a continued meltdown against one of the weakest back-half schedules to get him.
