1. The Browns Defense Will Feast on Brandon Allen

The Broncos will start their backup quarterback Brandon Allen this week because Joe Flacco supposedly has a herniated disk and is causing him neck pain. I say that because he had some harsh words about the playcalling after their game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Flacco is expected to be out for four to six weeks which will likely be the end of his career with the Broncos.

Either way, the sixth-round pick out of Arkansas will make the first start of his career although he was drafted in 2016. Obviously he has no stats to reference because this is his first NFL action.

This Cleveland defense will have no problem welcoming him to the league and hopefully, defensive coordinator Steve Wilks will dial up some exotic looks to confuse the young quarterback.

The Browns pass rush has been good all season obviously led by Myles Garrett with 10 sacks. If linebackers Joe Schobert and Mack Wilson can make plays against a good Broncos running attack, they can force Allen to throw the ball.

Cleveland’s secondary has not been as good as the front seven especially at safety. But it helped that they recently got back their starting corners Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams.

This is the week that they can turn it around though, facing an inexperienced quarterback and a thin receiving core after they traded Emmanuel Sanders to the San Francisco 49ers.

There should also be some frustration to take out, the Browns are on a losing streak although their defense has been good. This is the week for the defense to come out and make a statement that can lead the way for this team.

They will force turnovers and if they can stop Phillip Lindsey and Royce Freeman running the football they won’t give up many points either.
