3. Kareem Hunt vs. Bills linebackers, safeties

It may come as too little but late but the Browns will see the return of third-year running back Kareem Hunt in Week 10. He was suspended for the first ten games after a video of his pushing a women came out towards the end of last season.

Many people may have forgotten about Hunt because he hasn’t been on the field for so long but he has the ability to quickly remind people of how good he is —  let’s not forget he led the league in rushing as a rookie two years ago.

Freddie Kitchens said this week that Hunt definantly will have a role in the offense and I think that means he will get chances to catch passes. Kitchens has been using Dontrell Hilliard as their receiving back and he hasn’t been bad but Hunt gives you more.

He has the ability to split out wide like a receiver, so he and Nick Chubb can be on the field at the same time which can be dangerous. Hunt presents matchup problems in the passing game because not very many safeties and linebackers have the coverage skills to stay with him. But if there is any group of players up for the challenge it is this Buffalo defense.

Tremaine Edmunds would probably be linebacker to cover Hunt. Edmunds has good speed but he does not have the agility to keep up in space. Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde could both have skills to do it Poyer will probably get the assignment most of the time.

Poyer plays by the line of scrimmage a lot so that makes him the most likely to follow Hunt out of the backfield. Nick Chubb has been so good running the ball this year so I don’t see him losing many carries.

But Kareem Hunt caught ten touchdown passes in two seasons while he was with the Kansas City Chiefs, proving he’s electric in the passing game. For a guy who hasn’t played football in almost a year, Hunt will be itching for an opportunity to make an impact on this game and on this struggling Browns team.
