The Browns have quite a mess off of the edge at the present moment, and it is honestly their own making. After having plenty of depth and a solid rotation at the defensive end position, the Browns traded off two key pieces from the 2018 season in Emmanual Ogbah and Genard Avery in less than a half of a season.

Now one of their more solid, consistent players on their defense Olivier Vernon is hurt and they are left with just Chris Smith and Chad Thomas to fill the void opposite Defensive Player of the Year candidate Myles Garrett. Needless to say, adding another depth piece in the draft is important for Dorsey and company to look into.

Here they add Wisconsin pass rusher Zack Baun with their sixth-round pick; the Browns do not currently own a fifth-rounder in the 2020 NFL Draft. Baun, a relative unknown preseason, has now put himself in position to be drafted as he has put together a solid senior season for the Badgers.

With only two and a half sacks and 11 tackles for loss in his career coming into the 2019 season, Baun has already tallied seven and a half sacks and 12 tackles behind the line of scrimmage this year. At 6-3 and 256 pounds, he is the ideal size that defensive coordinator Steve Wilks has been leaning towards.
