Stud: Jarvis Landry

The Browns passing offense came to life against the Bills, who entered Sunday’s game with a top passing defense in the NFL. Cleveland’s receivers were consistently getting open and Mayfield was rewarding them. But it was Jarvis Landry who dominated the day for the Browns.

Landry was making catches all over the field and was gaining yards after the catch. He was creating separation, but was also making catches in tight windows. He led the Browns with nine receptions, going for 97 yards and one touchdown.

Landry’s touchdown capped off an impressive opening drive for the Browns, which included the Browns taking some shots downfield. The drive set the tone for the entire offense and created confidence for a unit that needed a shot in the arm.

Despite the presence of Odell Beckham Jr., Landry has been Cleveland’s best receiver this season. He has been Mayfield’s safety net, but he is also turning small gains into big plays and helping move the ball downfield.

With the Browns starting to throw to all levels of the field, Landry could start to regularly have big games. His strong hands and good route running has been evident and Mayfield is not afraid to give him the ball.
