Week 17 at Cincinnati Bengals

Coming into the final week of the season, the Browns will have a lot on the line. According to these predictions, they could very well be in the playoff race still as they have a record of 8-7. Even if it works out that they’re not in the mix, they have a shot to become the first Browns team to boast a winning record since the Derek Anderson-led Browns went 10-6 in 2007.

They were unable to make the postseason that year but that was the last time there was a real belief that the team was building something special. That’s exactly what they hope to do here and they’re playing against a team that they’ve been performing well against as of late.

Here, they end up winning and get to 9-7, but unlike their last winning campaign, the hype should be real. Back in that season, the Browns were dealing with a quarterback controversy as they had just drafted Brady Quinn who sat back and watched Anderson lead them to the winning record.

Eventually, Quinn got a shot and he didn’t make the most of it. His name is listed among the many who failed before Baker Mayfield came in. Sure, he started out with a sophomore slump but a great second half can help him re-establish himself as a legitimate star in the NFL.

Whether or not this leads to a postseason berth, the winning record would be huge for this starved fan base.

Result: Cleveland wins
Record: 9-7
