1. Juston Burris

It’s impossible to make it this far in the NFL and not deal with injuries and the Browns depth is being tested as safety Morgan Burnett was placed on injured reserve this week.

Taking his place is fourth-year man Juston Burris who has appeared in eight games for Cleveland this year, making twelve tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

Burris is a versatile player with the ability to play either cornerback or safety although tackling is not the strongest point of his game.

The Dolphins will test his coverage skills because they like to throw the ball, they rank 13th in the league in pass attempts. They will also need to move the ball through the air if they fall behind early which they normally do.

Burris is going to be able to sit back and not have to worry very much about the running game, Miami has the worst rush offense in the league. Their leading rusher is Mark Walton who was released this week after being arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman.

Kalen Ballage has been their lead back and he is averaging just 1.9 yards per carry.

Burris will have to patrol the middle of the field, that is where Fitzpatrick likes to get the ball to Devante Parker and a multitude of tight ends.

Similar to Chad Thomas, Burris knows he will have the opportunity to play meaningful snaps for the rest of the season due to the injury to Burnett. But that doesn’t guarantee that it will be him getting the snaps.

Cleveland upgraded J.T. Hassell from the practice squad to the active roster. Hassell is an athletic freak and a good tackler. Eric Murray has been getting playing time all season at the position as well.

But Burris will likely get the start and the most chances against the Dolphins. But his snaps are not a sure thing, he will have to make a name for himself and earn more playing time.
