Cleveland Browns: The Pulse Of The Pound
The Brown Spider (@BrownSpiderCLE), Section 313
Who would you like to see get inducted into the Cleveland Browns Ring of Honor?
“Hanford Dixon needs to be up there.”
Will Clay Matthews ever get elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
“I don’t think he will. I’d love to see him make it, but he doesn’t have the spectacular numbers and the Browns didn’t get over the hump during the time he was playing.”
Will Paul Brown ever get a statue at FirstEnergy Stadium?
“Yes, we got two more corners of the stadium to put a statue.”
What is your most memorable moment as a Browns fan?
“Oh, well “Bottlegate’ was fun. I was at the last Steelers victory, that was pretty good. Probably my favorite, way back when I was a kid in the ’70s and my dad took us to a game. It was versus the Dolphins in fact, and they won on a last-second touchdown to Reggie Rucker. It was probably a 40-yard pass, over the shoulder. I think it was in overtime in fact. That was probably my best memory.
How many wins will the Browns finish with this season?
“I’m going to say 10. Yeah, we’re going to run the table.”
Which rookie are you more impressed with Greedy Williams or Mack Wilson?
“Greedy looks good. I’m impressed with both of ‘em. But Mack, especially we got him late. He’s playing good, he’s not making mistakes. He’s making athletic plays. I’m going to say, Mack.
What position should John Dorsey address first in the draft this year?
“Tackle, definitely tackle.”
Will Joe Schobert be a Brown next year?
“Yes, they will sign Joe Schobert to an extension.”
How many wins does Freddie Kitchens need to guarantee the Browns bring him back for next season, or do you believe his job is already guaranteed?
“I don’t think Freddie’s going to get fired. Unless…as long as the team keeps playing, they’ll keep getting better anyway. I don’t think it’s going to be a win total. They’re really looking for continuity, Freddie has his guys playing through the adversity. There’s not a lot of bad stuff going on in the locker room. So, I think he’s there, no matter the record.
Who do you despise more: Ben Roethlisberger or Mason Rudolph?
“I gotta say, Rudolph. He was just a… I don’t want to use foul language. Yeah, it’s Rudolph. Even as much as Roethlisberger has kicked our butts, yeah Rudolph.”
The fans have spoken. They think that Hanford Dixon deserves to be in the ring of honor, Clay Matthews will make the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Paul Brown deserves a statue at FirstEnergy Stadium, Joe Schobert needs to be re-signed, Freddie Kitchens will be the coach of the 2020 Cleveland Browns regardless how the team finishes this year, and Mason Rudolph is more despised than Ben Roethlisberger.
