Chubb and Hunt feast.

This prediction isn’t as bold as it is practical. With Baker Mayfield’s recent injury to his hand, the Cleveland Browns offense is going to have to lean heavily on their uber-talented running backs. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will combine for over 300 yards of total offense between the two of them.

This week’s game plan should be filled with handoffs, screenplays, and short passes. All of which bodes well for the Browns backfield. Even though the game plan is due in large part to Mayfield’s tender throwing hand, it may reveal itself to be the remedy to end the inconsistency that has plagued the Browns offense all year.

They couldn’t ask for a better team to employ this strategy against. The Cincinnati Bengals are dead last in the league in rushing defense. The Bengals give up 157.6 yards per game on the ground. Chubb and Hunt should be ready to feast on Sunday.

By committing to running the offense through Cleveland’s true dynamic duo, the Browns will slow the tempo of the game, and own the time of possession. For Browns’ fans, it will be a beautiful sight.

The split should look something like: Chubb 20 carries for 126 yards, 3 receptions for 40 yards / Hunt 15 carries for 87 yards, and 7 receptions for 90 yards.
