Cleveland Browns studs and duds from Week 14 victory over Bengals

Dud: David Njoku
The Cleveland Browns offense returned a key piece on Sunday, as tight end David Njoku played in his first game since suffering a broken wrist during Week 2. However, it was not the type of return that Njoku or the Browns were hoping for.
Njoku caught only one of his three targets for four yards. The key play for Njoku came when he bobbled a pass in the first quarter, which resulted in Bengals linebacker Nick Vigil taking the ball out of Njoku’s hands and intercepting the pass.
Although the result of the play is highly questionable considering Njoku was already on the ground, his inability to secure the ball allowed Vigil the opportunity to make a play on the ball and take it away.
Njoku also allowed the only sack the Browns gave up on Sunday in the second quarter. Lined up against Carl Lawson, Njoku could not keep Lawson from going right around him. Lawson was able to finish the play with a sack on Mayfield.
Although Njoku was expected to be rusty in his first game back, he showed the same issues that have hindered him his entire career: Struggling to secure receptions and blocking.
The Browns need Njoku to be a threat in the offense as the third receiving option. However, he did not show that on Sunday and did not make the impact he needed to make.
