4. Leslie Frazier

This is a coach that’s slightly flying under the radar probably because he has failed as a head coach before. Fraizer was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2010-13, he was 21-32.

He had one successful season as their head coach going 10-6 in 2012 and making the playoffs before losing in the wild card round. But he was fired after the next season because two of his three seasons they finished with less than six wins.

But he got his recognition in the league as a defensive coordinator, that was his role with the Vikings before they elevated him to head coach.

More from Browns News

He has been a defensive coordinator for 11 years and his defense has been in the top ten in yards allowed six times. Fraizer has done with less than star-studded defenses in Minnesota and now with the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills have one of the top defenses in the league led by players like Tremaine Edmunds, Tre’Davious White and Micah Hyde who are far from household names. But yet they rank third in the league in yards allowed and second in points allowed.

When you watch Frazier’s defenses they always have multiple players at the ball and they get there fast. If your unit has the same traits as you coach different teams that is the mark of a good coach.

Frazier has not been a head coach since 2013 so most people probably have forgotten about how his time ended in Minnesota. Frazier is another former player that could have a profound impact on the locker room and it probably won’t cost very much to hire him.
