3. Cardinals Running Backs vs. Browns Linebackers

The Browns linebackers have been probably the most surprising unit this season especially after losing Christian Kirksey early on. Joe Schobert is the clear leader of the group and is playing his way to a big contract extension this offseason.

Arizona has been effective running the ball averaging 4.7 yards per carry and they do it with a variety of players which makes it hard to prepare for a certain look.

David Johnson is still their lead back but he is averaging just 3.8 yards per carry and has seen some of his attempts go to other players like Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds.

Drake is averaging over four yards per carry and Edmonds has been the best of all at 5.3 per carry and tied for the team lead in touchdowns. It says running backs but Kyler Murray is their leading rusher and he has to be accounted for on every play.

They also like to use Johnson and Drake in the passing game. Johnson is a tremendous route runner for a running back and Drake has the ability to take a short pass a long way. Schobert has been amazing in pass coverage but he will have to be on his toes.

Arizona has allowed a league-high 47 sacks so Murray won’t have a lot of time to find an open receiver so he will look to check it down to his running backs.

Quick passes can also lead to bad decisions and the Browns need to be ready to make plays on the ball and get some turnovers to help out their offense.
