Nick Chubb gets to fifth on the Browns single-season rushing list

I will be the first to admit that this next prediction isn’t as bold as it is inevitable. Second-year running back Nick Chubb has been a force of nature in 2019. Chubb comes into this Week 15 matchup with Arizona already leading the NFL in rushing yards, and that is how he is going to leave it.

Chubb enters Sunday’s game in the desert with 1,281 yards rushing. Not only is that impressive in regards to the rest of the league, but Chubb is now entering elite territory in the Browns franchise single-season rushing leader board.

He currently sits ninth on the single-season rushing list, but with a big day on Sunday, Chubb could find himself as high as fifth. For the record, the top-six players on the list are all a man named Jim Brown. Company doesn’t get any more elite than that.

Even though Chubb is the league leader in rushing, you would never be able to tell by his demeanor. Chubb is a team-first guy that is chasing wins and not statistics. Lucky for him, he will be getting both this Sunday.

Chubb’s Week 15 rushing stat line: 22 carries, 128 yards

Those numbers would put Chubb at 1,409 yards rushing this season. That would put him at fifth on the Browns all-time single-season rushing list. With two games left to go, it isn’t completely crazy to think he could end the year with the second-most rushing yards in franchise history. Rumble young man rumble!
