2. Joe Schobert will Dominate this Game Defensively

If your looking for the most valuable player for the Browns defense look no further than number 53. Joe Schobert has been outstanding from his middle linebacker position; getting the defense organized, stuffing the run and intercepting passes.

He has recorded 125 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and four interceptions. There is no logical explanation is that he is flying under the radar.

He won’t go under the radar this offseason because his contract is up and he has had the type of season that gets you a big extension.  Schobert will become one of the highest-paid middle linebackers in the league.

Cincinnati is a bad running team and we already discussed how poor their offensive line. You can count on Schobert to be all over Joe Mixon and the Bengals will probably bail on the running game early.

That will not take Schobert out of the game because he has been great in pass coverage as well. He’s tied for the team lead in passes defended with Denzel Wad who both have nine.

He will see a lot of Giovanni Bernard coming out of the backfield but Schobert is a good open-field tackler and he could end up with double-digit tackles in this game.

Myles Garrett is the most talented defensive player Cleveland has without a doubt but the heart and soul of the defense is Schobert and he has led the way for them all year, which won’t change this week.
