Stud: Jarvis Landry

Jarvis Landry was picked up in a trade with the Miami Dolphins last season and the 2017 NFL receptions leader quickly became the No. 1 wideout in Cleveland. This year, he was expected to take a back seat to Odell Beckham, Jr. who was picked up in a trade with the Giants.

This isn’t to say Landry was going to underutilized, just that OBJ looked poised to receiver the most targets. However, that didn’t happen as Juice continues to be the best wide receiver for the Browns.

He entered this game with 81 receptions (the same number of catches he had in 2018) and 1,092 yards. That gave him his first 1,000-yard season since 2016 — and he’s averaging 13.5 yards per grab, which is a career-high.

Landry added to those numbers today and made a huge splash play late in the second quarter. Trailing 20-10, Landry found an opening in the defense and Baker Mayfield dropped the ball right into No. 80’s hands. The timing was perfect as well, with the pass getting to Landry a split-second before the safety coming over.

When the catch was made, the safety and cornerback each hit Landry but they were unable to take him down. Juice then walked into the end zone for a 56-yard score, bringing Cleveland back into the game.

They fell behind after that, but just as he did all season long, Landry made the plays when his team called his number.
