Dud: Greedy Williams

The Browns were without a first-round pick in 2019 thanks to the Odell Beckham, Jr. trade which was weird to see after they had five picks in the opening round the past two seasons. They finally were on the board at pick No. 46, after jumping up three spots, and they landed LSU cornerback Greedy Williams — who was considered a first-round talent among many draft experts.

While he was incredibly talented, there were some concerns that included struggles with tackling — something that led to his drop. And while he did show some improvement in that area at times as a rookie, there were also games where this problem crept back up.

Week 17 was one of those games as Williams missed on a couple of tackles and was beat more than once in coverage. But what might have been the most frustrating was when he finally did make a big tackle.

On 1st-and-10 while down 23-16 in the second half, Williams and Larry Ogunjobi were credited with a shared tackle on Joe Mixon, forcing him to lose two yards. It set up a 2nd-and-12 and Williams got up dancing and celebrating. After that, the team gave up 76-yards over the next eight plays and made it 30-23.

It was a frustrating game, so seeing players celebrate the 1st-down stop while losing felt rather hollow.
