1. New offensive tackles

When John Dorsey took over the Cleveland Browns, he knew he needed a new quarterback. With that being the case, they added Tyrod Taylor in a trade with the Buffalo Bills and then used the No. 1 overall pick on Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma.

What Dorsey didn’t do, was build a solid offensive line around those signal-callers. Taylor ended up getting a concussion in Week 3, which cost him his job as Baker Mayfield came in and led the team to their first win in over 600 days.

Mayfield was still sacked an enormous number of times throughout the first half of the season but then in the final eight games of his rookie campaign, he was protected better.

This came when undrafted rookie Desmond Harrison was benched in favor of Greg Robinson. That was enough to get Dorsey to sign Robinson to another contract for 2019, but he returned to the same form we saw in previous stops where he couldn’t handle the left tackle job.

As for the right tackle, Chris Hubbard has struggled just as much. The former Pittsburgh Steelers swing tackle was brought over at the request of now-former offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

Hubbard hasn’t been the player they hoped and was even benched at one point for Kendall Lamm.

Just like the safety position, Cleveland needs to find two new players here. It wouldn’t be shocking to see their first pick in the draft used on one tackle while also finding someone in free agency.

Whatever the plan is, they need two new bookends to protect Mayfield.
