The Browns will probably have a need at safety this offseason, and Antoine Winfield Jr has become a fan favorite around the Browns mock draft circuit. A reliable tackler, a ball hawk safety, just an all-around baller. Catching 7 interceptions this past season and forcing two fumbles, he was an absolute menace on the defensive side of the football. A leader of the Minnesota Gophers who were nothing short of impressive all season, he would be a perfect fit for this Cleveland Browns football team.

With starting free safety Damarious Randall most likely going to be playing on a different team in 2020, the Browns will need to find a replacement and Antoine Winfield Jr is that guy. No defensive back for the Browns had over 2 interceptions in 2019, so having a ballhawk like Winfield Jr in the backfield would be a nice change of pace. Turnovers win games, especially when you have an offense as stacked as the one the Browns currently have.

Winfield also has Ohio roots, as he was born in Columbus, Ohio, according to his wikipedia page. His father was also born in Akron and went to Garfield high school, and had a very long career in the NFL making three pro bowls. I could very much see Antoine Winfield Jr having a similar career to his father, Antoine Winfield Sr, for the Browns.
