It’s no secret that the Browns are in need of improvements on the offensive line, most notably at the tackle positions. This is yet another position John Dorsey ignored during his tenure, and it got to the point of making the Browns offense unwatchable at points the last few seasons.

There’s a strong chance the Browns draft at least one lineman in the 2020 NFL Draft, but with the 10th overall pick, the top tackles may already be off the board. With a pretty big separation between the top three offensive tackles and the rest, the Browns need to be sure to not overdraft one just for the sake of need.

With that said, they can ensure that they still improve the line for the next few seasons by looking at another current Viking player that Kevin Stefanski is familiar with in Riley Reiff. At age 31 and with a slightly bloated contract for a team against the cap, Riley is likely to be cut or traded as the Vikings look to get under that magic number estimated to be around $200 million.

According to PFF, Reiff finished the 2019 season with a 71.2 overall rating, nearly five points higher than current left tackle Greg Robinson. The Browns have the cap space to acquire the talents of Reiff and still can draft a young offensive tackle to develop and perhaps one day replace him.
