No. 9: D’Qwell Jackson (2012)

D’Qwell Jackson was one of my personal favorite players growing up. He spent 8 seasons in Cleveland, which is quite a long career considering how short most player’s careers are, especially when they’ve been in Cleveland. He never made the pro bowl while playing for the Browns, and when looking back at his stats, that was a serious crime.

D’Qwell Jackson is the only player to appear on this list twice. Since offensive linemen aren’t being considered, he has a decently strong case for being the best Cleveland Browns player since the team returned since 1999.

In 2012, D’Qwell Jackson racked up a solid 119 tackles, two interceptions, one interception returned for a touchdown, eight passes defended, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 3.5 sacks, four TFLs, and five quarterbacks Hits. Wow. He did all of this starting all 16 games of the season, and yet he wasn’t voted into the Pro Bowl. He was the definition of a snub.

After this season D’Qwell would put on a Browns jersey for one more season and after 2013, he took his talents to Indianapolis. He played three more years for the Colts, before hanging up his cleats after the 2016 season. He also finally made the Pro Bowl in 2014, his first season with the Colts, giving him the honor that he should have had at least 4-5 times when he played in Cleveland.
