No. 8: Christian Kirksey (2017)

Linebacker Christian Kirksey continues the trend on this list of Pro Bowl snubs that I will never understand. Within a span of two seasons, he started all 32 games and racked up 286 tackles between those two seasons. Those are insane numbers and incredible production that should not have gone unrewarded.

Kirksey has been a fan favorite in Cleveland his career and has certainly been one of my favorites. Entering what will be his 7th season with the Browns in 2020, he has recently been plagued with injuries, which is really unfortunate, considering how good he is when he is fully healthy and on the field.

Both of his peak seasons, 2016 and 2017 belong on this list. I feel bad snubbing his 2016 season, but I feel like his 2017 season was overall more balanced and contributed more to the team.

In 2017, Christian Kirksey racked up a  whopping 138 tackles, five passes defended, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 3.5 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 6 QB hits. This guy did it all for the Cleveland Browns.

He and Joe Schobert have been one of the most underrated linebacker core in the NFL for quite some time. Hopefully in 2020 Kirksey will have a healthy season and be able to contribute as much as he did in 2017 for the Browns, as they could really use his talents again.
