3. Cornelius Lucas, Chicago Bears

Cornelius Lucas is a right tackle who played for the Chicago Bears last season but was with the Detroit Lions before that. Pro Football Focus (subscription required) has him graded as the 29th overall tackle in the league this past season. Lucas was able to block well enough on a bad team to earn that high of a rating? Sign me up.

Lucas should absolutely be on the radar of the Cleveland Browns. This man could be a starter if his production holds true. In the half-season he started last year, he showed he could be a consistent starter in this league and I think Cleveland should try and sign him.

Lucas really came into his own during the second half of the 2019 season, he was given his best ratings by far from PFF for his performance this past season. Going after a guy who might have turned the corner and came into his own would be a wise move to attempt to acquire him to help build up this lacking offensive line.

Realistically, if Cornelius Lucas came into camp and was able to continue to produce at the level which he did the second half of last season, he would be a day one starter for the Browns in 2020.

2. Matt Feiler, Pittsburgh Steelers

Matt Feiler played right tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season and has been with them since 2015. Before that, he was undrafted out of Bloomsburg and played for the Houston Texans in 2014 and 2015.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Fieler has been a consistent bright spot for the Steelers over his three seasons with them. PFF has him ranked at 21st overall in graded tackles this season.

Call me crazy, but a man who has been consistent for years and is coming into his prime now would be an asset to add to a Cleveland Browns roster that is struggling for consistent tackle play.

Fieler is good enough to come in and start is he has shown consistency over his last three seasons. With that being said, the last time the Browns brought in a former Steelers linemen, Chris Hubbard, he produced two mediocre seasons when the team was at it’s worst.

Fieler has put up better numbers every year compared to Chris Hubbard and Greg Robinson. Personally, I don’t care for the Steelers, being a Browns fan and all, but if this man came to Cleveland and produced the way he has in Pittsburgh, I just might be willing to look the other way.
