3. Chris Harris, Jr., CB

This one is the long shot but the fact is, the Cleveland Browns do have a shot at landing a top prospect at corner this offseason who has ties to Joe Woods. Chris Harris, Jr. has been with the Denver Broncos since 2011 and is scheduled to hit the open market this offseason.

There had been some issues between the player and the team and at one point, his name was being floated in trade rumors. Eventually, they patched things up — money can do that — and he now hopes to stay in Denver. That doesn’t guarantee anything will happen and if he does exit, landing with someone he knows would seem wise.

That’s where Woods comes in. The newest Cleveland defensive coordinator was with the Broncos from 2015 through 2018. He originally started as the defensive backs coach and was part of their Super Bowl 50 win following his first season with the team. He moved up to defensive coordinator for two years before joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2019.

Harris will improve any team he joins but at 30-years of age, there’s a risk of decline. He will also cost a lot of money and with Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams already onboard, Cleveland might not get too involved in chasing him.
