1. Chris Hubbard, Offensive tackle

Chris Hubbard joined the Browns in 2018 after leaving the Steelers. He has started at right tackle for the Browns the last two years. Hubbard has been anything but impressive.

At times he was serviceable and had streaks of decent football, but he was never truly reliable. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has not felt comfortable in the pocket and that is largely due to poor tackle play.

He has slow feet and gets driven back by strong ends. He also struggles when run blocking. Set to make over seven million dollars this year, it would be hard to keep him on the roster unless he plays at a starting-caliber level.

Hubbard could serve as a decent backup, swing lineman that can cover several positions if injuries arrive, but for his current price, he is not worth that.

Because tackle is the top priority for the Browns to fill this offseason, they will likely bring in several players to compete for both spots. With an influx of players coming in to play tackle, Hubbard and his contract are able to be let go.

Cleveland will fill their linemen room with younger and cheaper talent that can develop into starters with the help of their new offensive line coach, Bill Callahan.

The Browns have already saved about $20 million with the four cuts they made this week, and they have the chance to save much more by relieving several other veterans. Are any of these players on the way out? We will see, but if anyone is next, it could be one of these veterans.
