Round 7, Pick 221: Binjimen Victor, Wide Receiver, Ohio State

The Browns land Binjimen Victor from the Ohio State University with their last pick. The receiving room for the Browns is very top-heavy. Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry lead the room, but the productivity drops tremendously after that. Rashard Higgins was rarely used last year and continues to be a mystery whether he will be in the brown and orange in the fall.

Binjimen Victor was an intriguing player at OSU, but had very little production. His numbers were never good and he never turned into the player he perhaps could have. He is still, however, a potentially exciting NFL prospect, especially in the seventh round.

Victor is 6-4 and very athletic. He has an NFL body that can be very useful in possession downs or in the red zone. The Browns don’t currently have that big-bodied receiver, and in fact, both OBJ and Landry are under 6-foot. Most teams do have and utilize a big body that they can throw jump balls to when they need a big play. Victor could be that guy for an NFL team.

Again, he didn’t have good stats at Ohio State and never broke out. He needs to work on catching the ball consistently and perfecting his route running. He needs to be quicker in and out of breaks as well.

The potential is undeniable. One look at his play against Penn State in 2018 can show the talent he possesses. He is an interesting prospect and one worth taking in the seventh round.

Cleveland gets a good hull of players in this mock. Every player selected fills an important need. These players would immediately increase the talent of the Browns roster and make them a better unit. The Browns go for a need-based draft with players who can contribute sooner than later.
