5. Kyle Dugger, Safety, Lenoir-Rhyne

Kyle Dugger is a safety from Lenoir-Rhyne, a Division II school in Hickory, North Carolina. Dugger is an absolute beast for their team and is by far the best player on the field in each of their games.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Dugger is listed at 6-foot-2 and 217 pounds, which is a great size for a safety allowing him to defend receivers, tight ends, and backs. He runs a 4.41 40-yard dash and has a vertical leap of 40 inches.

He is an incredible athlete for any division, and will certainly translate that athleticism into the National Football League.

On film, Dugger’s skills and play-making ability jumps out. He returns interceptions for touchdowns routinely and even returned several punts and kicks for touchdowns.

He is very strong and powerful for a safety as well. This helps him be excellent at breaking up passes, making big hits, and shedding blocks. On pass plays, he seems to beat the receiver to the ball most times than not, and out-jump him if he doesn’t. He gives his team such an advantage at that level.

While he is playing against division two opponents, Dugger makes it obvious he can play. He is a legitimate talent and athlete that can contribute to a team in the NFL.

Some team is going to be very pleased by landing Dugger. With the Browns needing safety help, they could be a potential home for Kyle Dugger.
