3. Adam Trautman, Tight End, Dayton

Adam Trautman is a tight end from Dayton. Trautman is another player who changed positions, as he came to college as a quarterback. Coming in at 6’5 and 250 pounds, Trautman has the right frame to play tight end at the next level.

He has average to above-average speed with a 4.76 forty-yard dash and is a good athlete overall. Trautman is good at catching the football as well as blocking. He was utilized all over the field for Dayton and created mismatches for opposing defenses.

Trautman uses his length to high point the football. The film shows a lot of good features for the young man as well. He is extremely difficult to get to the ground once he has the football. He shows good moves in space and overpowers defenders at the point of attack. Very rarely was he tackled by the first defender.

He is used out wide and in the slot, as well as on the line and has a wide range of routes. He is very aggressive in the air and has excellent ball skills. He was a true threat in jump ball situations.

Cleveland could use a second tight end alongside David Njoku. Trautman is a guy who has room to grow into a great player. Keep your eyes out for Adam Trautman.
