Round 3, Pick 90: Leki Fotu, DT, Utah
One area the Browns rally struggled in 2019 was with stopping the run. According to NFL.com, their defense surrendered nearly 145 yards per game which placed them 30th in the league. They did have two good interior tackles in Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson but each of those players was more adept at rushing the passer than stuffing the run.

Here they add someone capable of improving their run defense in Utah’s Leki Fotu. One of the bigger defenders in the draft, Fotu came into the Combine at 6-foot-5 and 330-pounds. He didn’t do many drills but running a 5.15 in the 40-yard dash at his size was impressive.
Fotu also competed in the bench press and his 21 reps are a bit deceiving. He plays much stronger than that number indicates and can be the player this team desperately needed a season ago.
Round 4, Pick 105: Shane Lemieux, IOL, Oregon
As bad as the Browns were at left and right tackle, they were even worse at right guard. Austin Corbett was unable to fill the void left by Kevin Zeitler and Wyatt Teller and Eric Kush were both unsuccessful in their attempts to lock down the job.
With that being said, Cleveland adds more depth here with Oregon’s Shane Lemieux, an experienced guard who plays with a nice edge to him and was considered a team leader in Oregon. He should have no problem developing into a contributor on a line desperate for players.
