3. Alex Mack, Center

Alex Mack was drafted by the Browns in 2009 out of California. While he may not be a glamour pick for this list, he was a very solid player and was a rock for the Browns’ line. He played for Cleveland from 2009 to 2015 before moving on to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency.

Mack and fellow lineman Joe Thomas held down the offensive line for Cleveland for those six years. Mack may have been underappreciated because he was not flashy, did not play a skill position, and the team was not winning. Fans now would certainly appreciate a great lineman on their corps right now.

We have all the skill position talent we can ask for, but lack talent in the trenches. Mack provided that for the Browns and more.

Mack has been a six-time Pro Bowler with three coming with the Browns and three for the Falcons. He has been one of the most consistent linemen in the NFL for the length of his career.

The two players above Mack on this list were very good players for Cleveland for a very long time. Had Mack been with Cleveland for longer, he could have risen to number two.
