3. The “Snow Bowl”

Many of us love games with heavy weather of some sorts. Back in 2007, the “Snow Bowl” was one of the craziest weather games the NFL has seen in somewhat recent seasons.

Coming into this game, the Browns had a solid record of 8-5, who at the time were just one game ahead of their opponent, the 7-6 Buffalo Bills in the AFC standings.

More from Browns News

This game was one of the last times in recent years that the Browns have actually had a legit shot to make the playoffs, although they ended up finishing 10-6, which was miraculously not enough to get them into the playoffs that year.

In this game, however, the Browns managed to pull off an 8-0 win at home against the Bills thanks to two big-time field goals from Browns legend Phil Dawson. Winds were reported to be gushing at an insane 40 miles per hour, with many many inches of snowfall already on the field prior to the game as well as coming down during the game.

Visibility came at a minimum, making the passing game almost non-effective just about the entire game. With the Browns 8-0 win and that being the final score, that was the first time that an NFL game had finished with such a score since 1929.

With this being such crazy weather and low scoring game, there are also a few games where trends were set and records were broken.
