3. Tre Boston, Carolina Panthers

One player who would be a great addition is Tre Boston who spent last season with the Carolina Panthers. It was his second stint with the team as Boston continues to struggle to find a long-term home in the NFL.

He’s now looking for a new home for the fourth season in a row, however, Ben Linsey of Pro Football Focus thinks he could find himself a secure spot with Cleveland. Linsey selected Boston as the team’s ideal free agency fit and questioned how he always is available in the offseason.

"“The fact Boston hasn’t been able to secure a long-term contract the past several years is baffling. Over the past three seasons, he ranks second in coverage grade among qualifying safeties while playing the fifth-most snaps of any safety in the NFL, and his 27 combined pass breakups and interceptions over those three seasons is fewer than only Kevin Byard.” — Linsey, PFF.com"

Boston has been a play-maker for years. He has had multiple interceptions in each of the past four seasons, including five in 2017 and three in each of the past two seasons. He could provide them the game-changing centerfielder they had with Damarious Randall — and anyone who watched them in 2019 knows they were missing that guy who could take the ball away.
