Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

Yes, another offensive tackle makes this list. Was it not made clear before that the Brown’s biggest weakness is the offensive line? Well, let’s clear that up.

The Brown’s biggest weakness is the offensive line, namely the offensive tackle position.

Now that it’s cleared up, let’s take a look at why Andrew Thomas is a good fit for the Cleveland Browns.

Andrew Thomas is an incredibly talented football player. He’s a truly bruising offensive lineman, the kind of guy who will overpower you with brute force when he’s coming downhill. He’s not only strong though, as he’s also one of the smarter guys on the football field. He has an almost innate ability to read defenses as they make their last-second adjustments pre-snap, and is able to adjust to the pressure that comes at the last second.

This sort of ability to help read defenses will be greatly appreciated in Cleveland. The Cleveland Browns allowed 41 sacks in 2019. Meanwhile, the University of Georgia offensive line only allowed 15 sacks in 14 games in 2019.

Andrew Thomas could help provide that sort of protection for Baker Mayfield on the outside as he looks to bounce back from the rough 2019 season he had. Many teams have Thomas high on their draft boards, but should he be there for the Browns, he’s an ideal target to help them bolster their offensive line, and therefore their offense as a whole, in 2020.
