 1. Tre McBride, Wide Receiver, Los Angeles Wildcats

Tre McBride of the Los Angeles Wildcats might make a team like the Browns as a wide receiver. That’s due to the Browns desperately needing help at wide receiver — or at least they showed very little confidence in any wide receivers other than Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry in 2019.

The big knock against him is that he played college ball at the very famous (but not for football) College of William and Mary, in the Continental Athletic Association, an  FCS conference. McBride was one of the greatest wide receivers in school history, and was a three-time All-CAA selection and a CAA Special Teams Player of the Year.

At the Combine, McBride turned in a 4.41 seconds 40-yard dash,  and then took it down a few ticks at his Pro Day, which timed him at 4.39 seconds. He also showed a 38-inch vertical jump and a 4.08 short shuttle. Plus at 6-foot-0 and 210-pounds, he’s big enough that Toni Grossi can not call him out for his size.

He was drafted in the seventh round by the Tennessee Titans, and also had gigs with the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Washington, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He hasn’t appeared in a game since 2017 so he is another case of a player who needed meaningful game snaps to re-establish some credibility.

For Los Angeles he was a favorite target of former Browns quarterback Josh Johnson, finishing fifth in the league in receiving yardage with 271 yards.
