Dezmon Patmon, Washington State

This is a big dude. Dezmon Patmon is not a flashy athlete and may not jump out at many folks, but he is a well-built receiver. Measuring in at 6-foot-4 and 224 pounds, Patmon led all Cougar receivers with 816 yards and scored five touchdowns this past season

At the combine, he threw out a tantalizing 4.48 40-yard dash, which flashes that hidden athleticism that could be brought out in the NFL. Patmon is a smooth route runner who can create deep route separation without using his physicality.

When he needs to, Patmon can bully corners off his route at the snap, but can be slow getting into his route afterwards. He tries to sell breaks with rigidity so a smart corner can learn his tells to stay with him. He benefits from his size and length with a great catch radius outside his frame, but he will have to work on the finer points to make a difference in the NFL.

As such, he looks to be a major project at the next level. Detmon would need to land in the right situation for him to succeed, but if he is coached correctly he could turn out to be a solid possession receiver.
