1. Darron Lee, LB

This one may be the least popular and least effective option on the board, but Cleveland is desperate at linebacker so they should consider former Ohio State standout Darron Lee, who has struggled at times in his NFL career but still has a lot of talent.

Lee played for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 but saw his playing time dip significantly as he recorded just 31 tackles over the course of the season. The Chiefs never found a consistent role for him which is probably why they decided not to re-sign him after their title run.

He had the best years of his career during his time with the New York Jets. In 2017 with Gang Green, he had 94 tackles three sacks and two forced fumbles. In 2018 he had 73 tackles and three interceptions.

At 232 pounds Lee can sometimes have problems stopping the run and can get lost in the shuffle sometimes but he has a knack for making impact plays.

If he signed with the Browns they would likely switch Mack Wilson to middle linebacker and let Lee play on the weak side and on passing downs.

It wouldn’t be a perfect match but he would come cheap which would allow Cleveland to add more talent because there are still some good free agents out there.
