Chris Hubbard, Offensive Lineman

Chris Hubbard, a man who has not performed well since being in Cleveland. The fact the Browns restructured his contract instead of moving on from him is mind-boggling. Hubbard has been so bad that him being on the active roster is crazy. When Cleveland drafts a tackle this year he will become obsolete and take his place as a depth piece, but now he’s making too much money to be only a depth asset.

So, what’s the move now? Move him inside to a guard position? With his inability to be productive on the outside, why thinking he can be more on the inside leaves me clueless. Why continue to pay the biggest disappointment on an offensive line that was one of the worst in the league last year Why?

Bringing this player back that has weighed down this offensive line and held back this offense from improving is a mistake. Hubbard having a good season is a must or he should be packaged in a trade and sent packing. The Cleveland Browns would be wise to cut ties with Hubbard sooner rather than later after signing his new deal. Getting anything for him would be an upgrade instead of keeping him on the roster.
