Baker Mayfield, Quarterback

Last but not least, the king of Cleveland, Baker Mayfield. Mayfield came in as a rookie and lights the league up. Cleveland loves him, especially after he shotgunned a beer after biting it open at an Indians game. Sophomore year happens and everyone starts to doubt the man who they cheered for and loved just one season prior.

Mayfield will have an uphill battle ahead of him in his third season, with once again a new head coach, new playbook, and new expectations of him and his team. The Cleveland Browns have the potential to be a good team, not as much as last year, but still put up a good fight for winning the AFC North.

The Ravens are overrated. They rely on Lamar Jackson, who is elite in his own right, but is not much of a quarterback. The Steelers have no idea what they will be getting back with Big Ben, but are hoping for the old Ben and more. If Big Ben plays the way his injuries, age, and athleticism will point to, then their defense would be the only obstacle, same as last year.

The Bengals are a team rebuilding and are seemingly going to take Joe Burrow with the first overall draft pick this year. Realistically, the Bengals are probably about five years away from competing, so Burrow will be coming out of his rookie deal and looking for huge money, or his career will be ruined.

Next. Three linebackers the Browns should target. dark

The Cleveland Browns can make a go of this situation, even with a rookie coach. Mayfield needs to have a year similar to his rookie season and lead this team to victory, or else the fans of Cleveland might fully turn on him. Mayfield needs to show some serious improvement or the fear of the Cleveland Browns moving on from him might become a reality.
