Thomas, 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, started as a true freshman for Georgia ever since he got there. Thomas is a guy who has been linked to the Browns as a potential landing spot with the 10th overall pick in this year’s draft.
With how much help they need on the line, he would boost that line right away and make an instant impact.
While he’s solid in both categories, he seems to be better overall in the pass-blocking game. A top tier rush-protector for Baker Mayfield? Yes, please.
While he may be one of the “smaller” tackles in this year’s draft, he is quick off the snap of the ball, almost forcing defenders to have a better first step than him. The Browns run a wide zone scheme and will be doing so heavily with new head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Thomas ran a 5.22 in the 40-yard dash and benched 21 reps on the bench press. A quicker tackle on the Browns new and improved offensive line will do wonders for the team and helping to improve the overall performance of Mayfield as well as star running back Nick Chubb.
