TRADE ALERT – Washington Redskins

Cornerback. Buckeyes . Jeff Okuda. 5. player. 812.

There are a few questions to ask here: Are the Washington Redskins satisfied with Dwayne Haskins or Kyle Allen at quarterback? Will Alex Smith ever play football again after a gruesome leg injury? And lastly, what position do they see most necessary to upgrade on defense?

Given how desperate the Dolphins may be to get their guy in Tagovailoa, the Redskins could win the draft by trading back from No. 2 and collecting assets, while still ending up with a top-three talent in Jeff Okuda, the lockdown corner from Ohio State. Many projected Okudah going to the Lions at No. 3 with Darius Slay heading to the Philadelphia Eagles.

It appears after trading for Allen, the Redskins may believe they have their quarterback and will be happy to draft defensive needs. Quarterback hungry teams like the Dolphins will help the Redskins get a top-tier guy while acquiring assets to draft additional needs.

Los Angeles Chargers

6. player. 820. . Quarterback. Ducks . Justin Herbert

After striking out in free agency for a quarterback, including the pursuit of future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, the Los Angeles Chargers will be after a quarterback with the sixth pick. After 16 years with Phillip Rivers as the field general, the Chargers find themselves very thin at quarterback with Tyrod Taylor as the best available option.

Look for the Chargers to go with the Oregon Duck product, Justin Herbert, who came into this draft class as the No. 1 rated player before an up and down 2019 season. A strong combine should have solidified Herbert’s spot in the top-10.

The Chargers will likely try to move up to get ahead of the Dolphins, but being one spot behind them in all rounds will give leverage to Miami. The Chargers won’t look to give up too many assets and will likely be satisfied landing Herbert at No. 6.
