No. 3: The miracle return in Pittsburgh, 2007

In terms of Josh Cribbs best games as a Cleveland Browns, he was never too much of a wide receiver. His best year in terms of receiving numbers was in 2011, where he totaled 41 receptions for 518 yards and 4 touchdowns. When you think of Cribbs, you think of him as a return man, rightfully so.

Flashback to 2007. The Browns are in Pittsburgh playing the Steelers in what ended up being a high scoring game. Early in the fourth quarter, the Browns are down 24-21. After a Pittsburgh score, they are set to kick-off to one of the most dangerous return men in the league — Josh Cribbs. It was a line drive kick that Cribbs missed, having it bounce all the way back to the goal line. Once Cribbs retreated to the goal line to pick it up, the rest was history.

Although the Browns did end up dropping this game, this kickoff return for a touchdown was one of the most memorable moments from Cribbs’ at the time young career. The expression on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s face said it all. All of Browns’ nation was in shock, as was everyone at Heinz Field that day watching one of the greatest kickoff returns in history.
